The Kentucky Department of Education’s (KDE’s) Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council had the opportunity to discuss teacher recruitment and retention and the rights of students in schools during its Jan. 25 meeting.
Throughout May, we’re revisiting some of our favorite stories from the past year to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month.
The U.S. Department of Education (USED) will be making personal calls Jan. 9-13 to educators around the country to let them know how much they are appreciated. Educators may be nominated by anyone to receive a call from USED’s educator engagement group. Click here to nominate an educator.

In celebration of American Education Week, the Frazier History Museum is teaming up with other attractions in downtown Louisville’s Museum Row district to honor educators.
