Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance offering free afterschool STEM education programs

The Kentucky Out-of-School Alliance (KYOSA) is taking steps to improve the quality of the future workforce in Kentucky for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and computer science careers by offering the online learning platform Learning Blade to afterschool and summer enrichment programs across Kentucky free of charge.

TVA offers STEM grants  in some Kentucky counties

Schools in 19 southwestern Kentucky counties are eligible for grants of up to $5,000 from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Applications for the TVA STEM Classroom Grant Program are open until Oct. 16.

Students excel in STEM competitions at national conference

More than 50 middle and high school students from 10 schools represented Kentucky during the 2019 Technology Student Association National Conference in National Harbor, Md., with several of them bringing home awards.
