Kentucky teachers reflect on National Board Certified Teacher certification
National Board certification is voluntary and open to all teachers currently teaching with a state-issued license. Certification can be issued after three years of teaching experience. Certification is available in 25 certificate areas, from preschool through 12th grade.

KDE announces winners of 32 CTE Showcase mini-grants

Kentucky FFA members excel at National FFA Convention
Kentucky FFA was well represented at the 94th annual National FFA Convention, which was held Oct. 27-30 in Indianapolis. More than 60,000 FFA members, advisers and guests attended the convention, which is the largest youth organization gathering in the United States.

Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs announces Demo Day competition winners
There were 120 Kentucky students who attended the Governor’s Schools for Entrepreneurs (GSE) this summer and participated in an opportunity to pitch their business startup ideas at two competitive Demo Days on June 26 and July 24 at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). GSE was split into two sessions that ran from June 6-26 and July 5-24.
New Oldham County superintendent Jason Radford stresses the importance of school culture
Jason Radford is on a new educational journey, beginning his tenure as the new Oldham County superintendent July 1. He replaces Greg Schultz, who retired June 30, following five years at Oldham County and a total of 31 years in education.
