Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs announces Demo Day competition winners

There were 120 Kentucky students who attended the Governor’s Schools for Entrepreneurs (GSE) this summer and participated in an opportunity to pitch their business startup ideas at two competitive Demo Days on June 26 and July 24 at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). GSE was split into two sessions that ran from June 6-26 and July 5-24.

FCCLA members build leadership skills at national meeting

More than 300 Kentucky chapter members, 1,300 youth members and adult advisers of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended a Nov. 10-12 meeting in Washington, D.C., and the annual FCCLA National Cluster Meeting Nov. 17-19 in Oklahoma City.

#KyLChat provides statewide school librarian professional network

Heidi Neltner, a former school librarian in the Ft. Thomas Independent school district, had been using Twitter to connect with colleagues around the world for many years. Then in 2013, she decided to introduce Kentucky school librarians to this professional networking venue by creating #KyLChat.
