In December 2015, the United States federal government passed the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Within ESSA, terminology such as “well-rounded” is utilized to describe the expectations for a child’s educational needs. With both the arts and music being a part of this definition, new sources of funding have become available to support these content areas. This document outlines how your school and district may utilize funding in the future to support the arts.
