ReadWorks, a nonprofit committed to solving the nation’s reading comprehension crisis, unveiled a new, free online resource for teachers called “Article-a-Day.” The topics of the daily articles support all content areas. Many focus on life, earth/space and physical science, as well as engineering and technology.

ReadWorks provides nonfiction articles covering numerous science topics to help students build topical background knowledge, retain new vocabulary and increase reading automaticity.
