Applications are being sought for the Kentucky Department of Education’s State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education (SACGTE).
The council is an advisory group whose members are appointed by the governor. Its purpose is to make recommendations regarding the provisions of services for gifted and talented students in Kentucky’s education system.
The SACGTE has 19 voting members and three ex-officio or non-voting members. Currently, there are vacant representations for gifted and talented coordinators, teachers, parents of gifted and talented students, local school board members, principals, visual and performing arts and the private business sector.
People who are interested in serving must submit an application and submit a resume. The application can be found on the Kentucky Boards and Commissions webpage.
