Gov. Steve Beshear recently appointed several educators to the State Council for Community Education. They include:
- Tony A. Sergent, Letcher County school district superintendent, represents community education Region 10. His appointment replaces Claudia Peralta-Mudd.
- Doug Robinson, assistant superintendent with the Grayson County school district, will represent community education Region 2. His appointment replaces V. Wayne Young.
- Jill D. Settles, an administrative assistant and grant writer for the Washington County school district, will represent community education Region 5. Her appointment replaces Larry K. Woods.
- Stephanie R. Caldwell, the director of school nutrition services for the Campbell County school district, will represent community education Region 6. Her appointment replaces Ed Massey.
Others named to the State Council for Community Education include Michael J. Andrews, Crystalyn Paris Carter, Scott B. Sutherland, Tammy Bass Cary, Kathy Grace, Carolyn Hudman, Lisa R. Wegner, Cindy M. Banks, Terence Clemons, Regina Johnson and Karen L. Coburn.
