Anna Sullinger, a family and consumer sciences teacher at Beaumont Middle School (Fayette County), has received the 2017 Spirit of Advising Award from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

The award, which is given to one FCCLA chapter adviser from each state, recognizes advisers who are constantly faithful and often working quietly behind the scenes to ensure the success of their students.

Sullinger was recognized last month at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn.
