A husband and wife from Pulaski County High School have received regional awards for their accomplishments. Brian Miller was named the 2016 12th Region Athletic Director of the Year, and Janella Miller was named the 2016 Lake Cumberland Region Agriculture Teacher of the Year.
Janella Miller has been an agriculture instructor at Pulaski County since 2009. She is a Pulaski County Farm Bureau board member and an active participant in the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers program. She recently finished in the top 16 in the Farm Bureau young teacher national discussion meet. In 2016, she completed the Kentucky Master Agriculture Teachers program and was instrumental in the construction of the school’s new greenhouse.
Brian Miller has been the athletic director at Pulaski County since 2013. He manages 22 varsity sports – including archery and bass fishing, which were introduced during his tenure – and more than 600 athletes. He also handles budgeting, scheduling and Title IX compliance.
