Schools across Kentucky may request funding for arts in education programs from the Fund for the Arts through the Delta Dental Making Smiles Happen Arts in Education Initiative.

The program, which was open to students in 60 counties last year, has been expanded to provide funds to teachers across the state to expand or enhance classroom instruction with arts programs that are connected to core content. Teachers can request funding to take students on field trips to see an arts program or to bring an arts group into a school or classroom.

The application deadline is Nov. 15. Visit the Fund for the Arts website for more information, including brochures listing available programs.
