High school journalists are invited to enter the 2017 Mark of Excellence competition. The Western Kentucky University Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists sponsors the competition, which rewards the efforts of high school journalists on school newspapers, magazines, websites and broadcasts.

The entry deadline is Feb. 17. An awards ceremony will be held March 24 at WKU in Bowling Green. Email Samual Oldenburg for more information.
