The Kentucky Department of Education will hold training sessions to provide an overview of the Algebra 2 end-of-course (EOC) assessment and to introduce the framework for the spring field test at three locations across Kentucky.
The session has been designed specifically for Algebra 2 teachers; however, it also will be open to administrators and assessment coordinators. Algebra 2 teachers will develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the EOC assessment and the course standards, including the standards for mathematical practice. Teachers also will work toward developing criteria for instructional decisions and classroom embedded assessments.
Here is the schedule of sessions, with links to register for each event:
- Feb. 26 – Henderson, John James Audubon State Park
- Feb. 27 – Prestonsburg, Jenny Wiley State Resort Park
- March 1 – Lexington, Fayette County schools warehouse
