The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is offering free one-day workshops that will provide certified fishing instruction for educators.

Participants will learn how to lead a fishing field trip and how to design a trip to meet the needs of their students. Workshops cover fish identification and behavior, fishing safety, laws and regulation, casting and bait selection, equipment troubleshooting, group management and where to fish.

Participants must have a current fishing license; all supplies, including fishing equipment and bait, are provided.
