The Kentucky Center for Mathematics has scheduled seven professional learning programs for mathematics teachers over the coming months:
- EERTI June – Enacting Effective Response to Intervention (EERTI) cohort for teachers of special education students in grades K-3.
June 20-23, Bowling Green
Registration deadline: May 6
- EERTI Summer Institute – Exploring new ways to develop elementary students’ number sense. For EERTI graduates and leaders.
June 13-14, Louisville
Registration deadline: May 13
- MaRtI Middle Summer Institute – Exploring conceptual understandings needed to be successful in 7th- and 8th-grade mathematics content, specifically algebra and algebraic reasoning.
June 15-17, Louisville
Registration deadline: May 13
- AVMR1 Refresher Course – For those previously trained in Add+Vantage Math Recovery Course 1.
July 18, London
Registration deadline: July 1
- AVMR2 Refresher Course – For those previously trained in AVMR Course 2.
July 19, London
Registration deadline: July 1
- Student Numeracy Assessment Progressions (SNAP) – A course introducing K-2 teachers, assistants and parent volunteers to the assessment and advancement of early learning of numbers and arithmetic.
July 20-21, Bowling Green
Registration deadline: June 8
- KNPI/AVMR – A course built around AVMR for elementary teachers.
July 27-29, Sept. 8-9, Oct. 17-18, Dec. 7-9, Murray
