Teachers are encouraged to submit proposals to be presenters at the Let’s TALK: Conversations About Effective Teaching conference June 13-14 in Covington.
The conference is designed to inform participants about effective strategies for improving professional practice through instructional strategies and new leadership roles. Proposals should demonstrate ways in which classroom teachers contribute to ongoing education improvement and elevate the profession by sharing their own examples of classroom excellence and their experiences with new leadership roles and contributing their ideas to education initiatives.
Conference breakout sessions are 75 minutes long, and some sessions will be offered more than once during the conference. One or two presenters may be included for each session; one must be a classroom teacher. Stipends will be awarded to presenters, and the registration fee will be waived and mileage and one night’s lodging will be provided.
Proposals must be submitted by Feb. 17. They will be reviewed by a committee of teachers. Click here for more information on submitting a proposal.
Registration will open soon for the conference, which is targeted to teachers, principals, administrators, paraprofessionals, instructional assistants and aides; instructional leaders with teams of teachers, pre-service teachers and those in higher education.
