The Ohio Valley Education Cooperative (OVEC) has launched a new cohort of Teach Tech Kentucky, a program designed to help teachers in grades 3-12 integrate computational thinking and computer science into their classrooms.
The program helps teachers learn concepts of computational thinking and computer science in online, self-paced micro-credentials. The goal of this program is to also help students build problem-solving skills and foundational skills for America’s highest-wage occupation.
Teachers can earn a $4,050 stipend through the program or apply that money and work to Bloomboard’s rank change program and achieve rank change at no additional cost. Teachers may earn a $3,000 stipend if they complete the abbreviated pathway that includes less content.
For more information, visit the Teach Tech Kentucky teacher webinar registration page. Informational webinars are available during select dates and times in April, May and June.
