Across Kentucky, there have been many discussions about renewable energy sources like solar power. PBS LearningMedia’s Kentucky Field Trips collection allows students to visit the E.W. Brown Solar Farm in Mercer County, a first-of-its-kind solar farm built in 2016, through a series of educational videos.
Students will learn how solar panels convert energy from the sun into electricity and meet Aron Patrick, director of research and development for Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) and Kentucky Utilities (KU).
