A scholarship opportunity for high school students aims to shed a light on the dangers of underage drinking and texting while driving.
Known as Courageous Persuaders, the program asks students to craft a 30-second television commercial that could be used in a PSA campaign to warn people about underage drinking and texting while driving. It was created to make a difference in tragic statistics.
Over $28,000 in awards and scholarships are presented to participating students annually. The grand prize commercial will be broadcasted on national television, in Michigan’s Secretary of State offices and additional spaces. The program is sponsored by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Education Foundation.
