The Kentucky Department of Education Coordinated School Health Team will host two free summer professional learning opportunities this summer at locations across the state.
“Agents of Change: Making Healthy Schools the Norm” is a Kentucky School Health and Physical Education Network (KySHAPE) professional learning event in which the Coordinated School Health Team will partner with educational cooperatives to provide professional learning to schools and districts to improve aspects of their practical living/career studies Program Review and school wellness program.

- Green River Regional Educational Cooperative, Bowling Green, July 15
- Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative, Hazard, July 23
- Kentucky Educational Development Corporation, Ashland, July 24
- Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative, Lexington, July 30
All workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. local time. Six hours of professional development credit are available. Click here to register.
The Physical Activity Leader (PAL) Learning System is the professional development resource within “Let’s Move! Active Schools,” a comprehensive program that empowers school champions (physical education teachers, classroom teachers, principals, administrators and parents) to create active environments that enable all students to get moving for 60 minutes a day and reach their full potential.
