The Appalachian Renaissance Initiative (ARI) will hold a Promising Practices Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Eastern Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville.

ARI, funded by a federal grant, is working to bring new technology to 17 districts and 99 schools in the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative.

Event highlights will include:

  • Authentic demonstrations of teaching and learning innovations
  • Original student performances
  • College- and Career-Ready Roadshow

EILA credit will be provided at the event, which will be webcast to a national audience.
