The Kentucky Center for Mathematics has announced that registration is now open for the 2014-15 EERTI (Enacting Effective Response to Intervention) cohorts. The program is free to participating teachers thanks to support from the Kentucky Department of Education.
EERTI cohorts are professional learning communities facilitated by experienced and highly trained Mathematics Intervention Teachers. Participation in EERTI will increase K-3 teachers’ understanding of early numeracy development and improve their abilities for establishing in students strong foundations for fluently adding and subtracting.
Course content will focus on the fluency learning progressions in the Common Core Standards for Mathematics and enhancing response to intervention programs.
Participants will receive:
- Professional literature (4 books)
- Instructional materials and manipulatives
- Invaluable knowledge and experience to dramatically improve the effectiveness of daily math instruction
- Evidence-based strategies for implementing response to intervention
EERTI is for primary grades teachers and will be limited to 16 participants per group. Register now to ensure a spot at your preferred location.
