On Nov. 6, 7 and 8, 2014 the 42nd annual meeting of Kentucky science educators will convene in Lexington. Over the past decade, the conference has been attended by approximately 500 teachers, administrators, curriculum supervisors, university faculty, vendors, pre-service teachers, students and others, who have benefitted from more than 100 workshops, presentations and activities.
The conference for 2014 promises to be one of the most important in recent years due to the adoption of new standards for science assessment. Science educators from all over the state will be looking to share ideas and concerns about the changes to curriculum, pedagogy and materials that the new standards will require.
It is not too soon to be making plans for attending and getting registered for this event. Information and registration forms can be found at the KSTA website.
Look under the Events tab on the home page for all materials related to this year’s conference.
The KSTA Board of Directors is planning for another well organized and valuable program of presentations. If you would like to offer a session, you may download an application form at the web site. Applications are still being accepted.
