The University of Kentucky Confucius Institute (UKCI) supplies all start-up and annual funds to help K-12 and post-secondary schools establish Chinese language and culture programs with a “Confucius Classroom.” Currently, schools in 27 states and the District of Columbia are participating in this program.

Teacher salary is paid by Confucius Institute Headquarters.

Materials provided include Multimedia equipment, teaching venue improvements, books and other Chinese language teaching materials.
