The 2013 Kentucky Energy Tour for Educators is scheduled for June 10-14. Twenty-five teachers who are passionate about bringing energy education to their classrooms will travel by charter coach through Western Kentucky visiting various types of energy facilities. There is no cost to attend the conference – funding is provided by the Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence.
Lodging, meals, mileage reimbursement to and from the tour hotel and curriculum materials that support implementation of innovative energy units for classrooms, multi-disciplinary student energy teams, and after-school programs are included. All National Energy Education Development (NEED) materials meet state standards and can be utilized with students of all learning styles. Registration will close April 30. Educators selected to participate will be notified by May 10. Register online here.
