KASC is expanding its online course offerings to include “Assessment of Learning.”

Formative assessments are not only required, but a necessary component of the learning process. How can educators harness the power of formative assessment to transform the learning process?

Participants will cover the purposes behind assessments in the classroom, focus on its use to appraise students, guide instruction, improve learning and move students towards mastery. Participants will explore and experience various formative assessment strategies.
