Educators Rising Kentucky is proud to announce that one of their own student leaders has been selected to serve as the national vice president of programs for Educators Rising for the 2021-2022 school year.

Courtney Ashton, a senior at Pulaski County High School, has served as her local chapter’s president for three years and as a national Educators Rising ambassador in 2020-2021. Ashton was a featured speaker at this year’s Kentucky Educators Rising conference. She plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College, where she will play soccer and enter their educator preparation program with aspirations of becoming an elementary English as a second language teacher.
