The Kentucky High School Speech League (KHSSL) State Tournament celebrated its 100 year of state competitions with students from throughout the state competing virtually in 14 speech events. The first KHSSL statewide debate was held in 1921 with speech events added the next year.

Rowan County Senior High School claimed the state title for a fourth time, with Paul Laurence Dunbar High School (Fayette County) following in second place. Knott County Central High School finished in third, and Murray High School (Murray Independent) and Henry Clay High School (Fayette County), rounded out the top four and five,

Students recorded speeches in 10 of the events. All rounds were scored by statewide judges with feedback ballots submitted via the internet. Announcements of advancements to the semifinal rounds and subsequent awards were shared via YouTube video.
