(Frankfort, KY) – In preparation for the release of data from 2017-2018 state assessments and accountability determinations, the Kentucky Department of Education’s Division of Communications will hold a virtual briefing 10 a.m. ET Sept. 20 for members of the working media and school public relations staff. You may connect with the webcast through the KDE Media Portal.

Associate Commissioner Rhonda Sims from the Office of Assessment and Accountability will provide a review of what will be released and explain changes from last year. Communications Director Rebecca Blessing will discuss the logistics of this year’s data release, and Media Liaison Nancy Rodriguez will field your e-mail questions. You may e-mail questions before and during the briefing.

Data will be released to districts 9 a.m. ET Sept. 24 under embargo and to the working media under embargo at 2 p.m. ET Sept. 24. The embargo will lift and the data made public at 12:01 a.m. ET on Sept. 26.
