The Kentucky Center for the Arts and The Louisville Orchestra are sponsoring a one-of-a-kind art contest.
The Musical Inspirations Art Contest gives Kentucky students in grades 8-12 the opportunity to create an original two-dimensional art piece that is inspired by the music of Modest Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.” The five winning art pieces will be projected onto large screens at The Kentucky Center during an orchestra performance of the music that inspired the art.
Visit the Kentucky Center website for more information. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 10. Contact Cecilia Reyna at the Kentucky Center for the Arts for questions.
