Another year, another Kentucky State Fair under the belt.
As cows and sheep paraded in front of judges, toddlers ate ice cream cones and played in the fountain in front of Freedom Hall, while others grabbed free souvenirs from booths.
The fair comes to Louisville every year, but there always seems to be something new and surprising to find as a photographer when I go there. The variety of people that I get to meet also means that the fair is never a dull time.
At the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) booth, “Buster the Bus” was a hit, as always, with children.
“That bus is talking to you,” parents would say as Buster rolled out from behind the table, speaking to different kids.
Fairgoers also got the chance to meet other guests at the KDE booth, such as Commissioner Stephen Pruitt and Kellie Clark, the 2018 Kentucky Teacher of the Year.
So, after a week of deep fried food, rides and candy, here are a few fun things we saw at the Kentucky State Fair.
