Introducing the new and revamped SWARM – Student with Active Role Models – for the 2017-18 School Year. Get rewarded by Go365 for bringing physical activity to your school.
When you commit to good health practices, you instantly become a positive role model for students. Teachers and other school staff members can integrate physical activity into classroom academic instruction – as well as support recess, intramurals and other school-based events – all while earning points to redeem for gift cards.
To qualify, you and at least one student must track one activity a week – try to make sure each weekly activity is about 30 minutes – for a total of 10 weeks in the semester. Use the SWARM tracking tool to record what events you complete and your semester total.
Visit the LivingWell website for resources on developing a comprehensive school physical activity program in your school and ideas and resources on how to earn SWARM Points.
The SWARM tracking tool can be found here: https://livingwell.ky.gov/Go365/SWARM%20Go365.pdf.
How do we do this because we at Scott County High School have been doing this for 3 years with our Aerobic Walking Class and Strength & Conditioning Classes.
