Refine your ability to provide feedback that moves learning forward. Join Kentucky Department of Education literacy consultants Jamee Barton and Teresa Rogers as we dive into current research aimed to uncover the critical elements of feedback. Engage with peers in deep conversations about the content of feedback – focus, specificity and tone – that will have a positive impact on student writing.

In “Making Feedback Matter,” facilitated discussions will help to identify factors that influence student perceptions and motivation. Opportunities to share strategies will help you to develop a feedback culture within your classroom.

This professional learning opportunity is designed for K-12 teachers who want to:

  • learn to provide feedback that promotes student thinking;
  • learn to analyze and critique student writing samples to determine next steps; and
  • learn to adjust feedback for different kinds of learners.

All sessions are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. local time at the following locations. Lunch will be on your own.
