The 2017 VSA Kentucky Student Traveling Exhibition, “A Matter of Perspective” – which showcases original artwork created by K-12 students with disabilities from schools throughout Kentucky – is now traveling to schools and other community venues throughout the Commonwealth.

Due to popular demand, VSA Kentucky offers two exhibits, an elementary and a middle/high school exhibit. The 2017 Student Traveling Exhibit represents 28 schools, with 18 pieces in the elementary exhibit and 17 pieces in the middle/high school exhibit. Some venues, like galleries and libraries, may request both exhibits at one time.

Subjects featured in the exhibits include architecture, animals, landscapes, portraits and designs, with styles ranging from realistic to abstract. Students expressed themselves using a variety of artistic media: acrylics, watercolor, tempera, pencil, colored pencil, crayons, markers, ink and mixed media. Exploring various techniques and processes, these young artists produced imaginative works of art using collage, drawing, painting and digital media.
