For two weeks in June, 12 students from the Kentucky School for the Blind got the chance to expand their resumes, get out of the house and make a few dollars.
The students helped staff game booths, organize souvenirs, clean tables and more at Kentucky Kingdom as part of the school’s Summer Work Program. The program is designed to give students the chance to gain work experience.
“I love this job,” said Tabitha Sutherland, a KSB student working in the gift shop of the Angry Birds Ride. “I get out of the house, meet people and get something on my resume.”
