The Fayette County Public Schools Technology Department received the 2016 Lydia Wells Sledge MVP Award from the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Knowledge, Information and Data Systems. The award is given to a person or group of people who have made significant contributions to students using technology in Kentucky.
The award is named for Sledge, a former director of the Office of Education Technology who was instrumental in developing the Student Technology Leadership Program among other accomplishments.
“This award is a reflection of the hard work that a lot of people have put in to the STLP program over the years and is for our department rather than an individual,” Fayette County Technology Director Bob Moore said.
