Applications are being accepted for the Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program. The program gives qualified educators the opportunity to participate in short-term seminars abroad — mainly on topics in the social sciences, social studies and humanities – to improve their understanding and knowledge of the people and cultures of other countries.
These programs will be offered in summer 2016:
- Elementary (grades K-8): Exploring the Indigenous Heritage of Peru
- Secondary (grades 9-12): Sustainable Development and Social Change in India
- Post-Secondary: Religion and Diversity in Senegal
Eligible educators must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with at least three years of full-time teaching or administrative experience at the time of departure.
Upon their return, participants are expected to develop and disseminate a curriculum project and to share their broadened knowledge and understanding of the host country or countries with students, colleagues, civic and professional organizations, and the public in their home communities.
The application deadline is Dec. 9. Click here for more information.
