The third annual Let’s TALK: Conversations About Effective Teaching conference has been scheduled for June 15-16 in Louisville.

Registration will open soon for the conference at which attendees may:

  • gain practical strategies for implementing the Kentucky Core Academic Standards, especially science, social studies and arts and humanities standards.
  • improve teaching through the new Professional Growth and Effectiveness System and Program Reviews.
  • elevate the profession.

The conference is targeted to teachers; principals and administrators; paraprofessionals, instructional assistants and aides; instructional leaders with teams of teachers or others who support teaching excellence; pre-service teachers and those in higher education. About 370 people attended last year’s event.

The conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport hotel. The registration is $25 for pre-service teachers and $50 for other attendees.
