A graphic detailing the 2017-18 testing plan for elementary, middle and high schools. Using current standards, students will be tested in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8, in science in grades 4 and 7, in social studies in grades 5 and 8 and in on-demand writing in grades 5, 8 and 11. A college admissions examination will be given in grade 11. End-of-course field tests will be given to students in grades 9 through 12 enrolled in English II, Algebra II and biology. After standards are revised, an end-of-course field test in U.S. history will be given in 2019-20.
