Nicole Barber-Culp joined the Kentucky Department for Public Health as the coordinated school health program administrator in September 2014. Her primary work involves providing technical oversight of the Coordinated School Health contract for both the health department and the Kentucky Department of Education.
Barber-Culp also provides training opportunities, technical assistance and educational outreach to local health departments and various community agencies on adolescent health programs, including Coordinated School Health, Bullying Prevention and Tobacco Free Schools. She serves as a member of the Kentucky Board of Education’s Health Sub-Committee and is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state trainer for the School Health Index.
Outside of work, Barber-Culp spends most of her time outdoors with her two girls, Emery (6) and Ella (3) and husband, Jacob.
